how to use blogger tools to get more traffic to your blog

Search on Google -"blogging platforms" and you'll see a dozen results. Today there are many blogging platforms. Some are new and others are old, but if you go with the numbers the majority of the blogs are running on either Blogspot or Wordpress. I myself use blogspot because its where I started in my initial days while learning about blogging, but I have also spent time blogging on Wordpress and yes it provides you with more resources than Blogspot. Eventually, you are gonna end up using one or the other.

 

Blogspot is the Google-owned blogging platform that has been the platform for bloggers and website owners for many years. Blogspot has a very simple UI as compared to other platforms.now you would argue that it's not like WordPress or it's not like Wix, but Blogspot has been in the market since many years, so there must be something in it.

The traffic that you get on your blog is dependent on on 2 important factors-
1) Your content
2) sharing and getting others to know about your content


1)permalink
So if you have been blogging for a while then you might have noticed a permalink option on the right side of your blogger post editing dash board.

What does this do?

Basically permalink is how your link will be shown and saved on whole internet.

The permalink option in the post settings is a very usefull option,may be many of you ignore it and keep it as it is. The problem of keeping permalink as it is is that the link of your content becomes lengthy, since the keywords in permalink is as it is as your post title.So the more lengthy your permalink becomes your post ranks very low and becomes hard to find.To make your post easily reachable for others on google,just use less but high ranking keywords ,just go and do some keyword research on Google trends or any other keyword finding sites.

For example: lets suppose you are writing a blog post about "10 places to visit in Amsterdam", Now your permalink might look something like this: "https://yourblogname.com/2019/08/10-places-to-visit-in-Amsterdam.html"

Here obviously you do not need that date in your link so what can you do is just remove the date from your permalink, that makes your link even shorter and more easily searchable on internet.

2)schedule
Just above permalink option you can find schedule option with a clock sign. This option lets you set time and date to publish the current post on your blog.
Remember to get done with your permalink before scheduling the post as you might forget that part later on.


3)How to reach out to more people with your content.
If you are a newbie and doesn't know how to reach out to your future traffic what you can do is start sharing your content on social media platforms.
Getting your link on first page of search through google ranking is going to get some time. But remember to share it on social media platforms where traffic is right infront of your eyes.
Just don't be annoying by posting just your content find a post from internet share that post and along with that send your link also just so that people will also take a look at your post.

4)Html view

Blogger allows user to add their html codes while editing the blogs.This tool usually comes handy when you have to design your blog post

like adding your own buttons,texts,etc.The advertisement codes from a third party website can be used in this html section to display 

advertisements on your blog post.For example, Amazon affiliates program provides you banner codes that you can directly paste on your

html section and display various product advertisement.

4)Earnings from blogger.

Blogger allows adsense usage directly from their site,but first the user has to apply for the Google adsense program and must get approved

by adsense then only he/she can get the adsense code which then will be placed on various adsense widgets that will then show the 

google advertisements.Keep in mind that there are few requirements from the part of google that your blog must fullfil so that you

are approved on the adsense program.
